What I did today 2013-05-21

Here’s what I did today:

Road the stationary bike for a total of 125 minutes while reading, watching shows, studying Japanese, or listening to music
Started the process of oiling the old leather saddle bags to add to my bike rig
Created a small desk for my stationary bike so I can workout while I work, write, play, etc.
Worked through Pimsleur Japanese One lesson 10 (a couple times to get it down) while riding the bike and cleaning/sorting etc
Watched an episode of the anime “Flowers Of Evil”
Worked on installing Lubuntu onto an old Desktop to give away to someone
Worked on the draft of the Season 01 Episode 05 script of “Crash Landing” while pedaling my stationary bike thanks to my new desk mod. :)

Stationary bike desk version .01 has been made. I used a pine board, some hemp rope, and drilled the holes with a hand drill. May add a few more bits of rope to tighten up the rig though.

Here’s what I did today:

Road the stationary bike for a total of 65 minutes while reading, watching shows, studying Japanese, or listening to music
Went for two bicycle rides for a total of about 55 minutes of riding
Helped out a friend
Worked through Pimsleur Japanese One lesson 10 (a couple times to get it down) while riding the bike and cleaning/sorting etc
Watched an episode of each of the animes “HENNEKO The Hentai Prince And The Stony Cat” & “Oreimo” & “Photo Kano” & “My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU”
Posted one of my music tracks (Sad Moment) to my blog and shared via Twitter/Facebook/G+/etc
Backed up stuff from an old laptop in prep for test installs of Mint Linux, Puppy Linux, etc and trying out a MATE desktop install on an existing Studio Ubuntu install
Installed Linux Mint on an older machine to test it out

I’ll be cleaning and oiling these saddle bags (I’ve already started cleaning them), then working out how to attach them to my bicycle in a way that allows me to easily remove them, but not lose them while pedaling.

If you don’t feel the need to mod some old saddle bags, you can get some ready made bicycle saddle bags from Amazon for a decent price.

Made a water bottle cage for my bike with a wire coat hanger, duct tape, and velcro straps
Worked through Pimsleur Japanese One lesson 9 (a couple times to get it down) while riding the bike and cleaning/sorting
Posted one of my music tracks (Emo Brand Razor) to my blog and shared via Twitter/Facebook/G+/etc
Read some of “Songwriting For Dummies”
Went for two bike rides totaling about 56 minutes of riding

Watched some cartoons with my nephew

Wrote and posted a new poem
Watched a few episodes of the anime “HENNEKO: The Hentai Prince And The Stony Cat”
Watched an episode of “Warehouse 13”
Watched an episode of “Castle”
Watched the documentary “The Age Of Stupid”
Helped potty train the niece by making “potty stickers” and singing the “We like to pee on the pottyyyy” song. Also made a homemade “Potty Sticker Book” for her to keep her “potty stickers” in… These are basically green price tag stickers with smiley faces
Watched the first episode of the anime “Flowers Of Evil” - interesting rotoscoped animation, seems to be animated on 4s or even 6s. Not sure what I think yet. Seems that it might be a more cerebral anime
Watched a few episodes of the anime “My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU”
